General Info/Start Time:

Volunteers are asked to be at the Exhibition Grounds on Wentworth Rd. (at exit 5A) in Windsor at 7:30 a.m. for registration.  The nearest Tim Horton's is across the street.  All operators should bring the usual 2m voice mobile & 2m voice handheld (including mag mount antennas, battery packs, power connections etc.).  If you need directions please check in on the Windsor repeater on 146.91 MHz and also refer to the maps in the links shown below.

Route:

The 2010 route is much the same as in past years heading south west from Windsor on Highway 14, a right turn on Sangster's Bridge Road, another right onto Falmouth Dyke Road on to Rest Stop #1 near Falmouth.  From there we head left for a short distance along Highway 1, left on Bog Road, and then the long climb up Bog Road to Rest Stop #2 in Hantsport. the route then continues along Main Street and Bluff Road to Avonport. From Avonport the route crosses over Highway 101 and follows along the Gaspereau River Road to Rest Stop #3 in Melanson.  Continuing west from Melanson the route continues on to Gaspereau and crosses the river onto Greenfield Road with a steep uphill climb towards Wolfville. A left turn onto Ridge Road and right turn onto Highland Avenue and on to Acadia.  Cyclist have their lunch and then may decide to take the slightly modified route to Canning and back.  For a better picture of the route and rest stop locations see the following maps.
